ICOR Declaration

ICOR'S CALL FOR ANTI-WAR DAYS 6 AUGUST AND 1 SEPTEMBER 2024

ICOR,

The world revolutionary organization ICOR (International Coordination of Revolutionary Parties and Organizations) calls for the mobilization of the international working class, oppressed peoples, women and youth for the anti-war days of August 6 and September

The classics of Marxism-Leninism convincingly proved the inevitability of wars under capitalism. Driven by the desire for maximum profit and the export of capital, the imperialist countries that dominate the planet are fighting among themselves for a repartition of the world. In the course of this struggle, they commit military aggression against colonial-dependent countries and impose regimes dependent on imperialist countries in them. Not wanting to share their spheres of influence with each other, the imperialist countries and especially the most powerful imperialist powers provoke each other into military conflict, creating the danger of local wars against oppressed countries escalating into a world imperialist war. Marxist-Leninists understand that in order to abolish wars, it is necessary to destroy imperialism. Without a struggle in support of the oppressed peoples and countries against imperialist aggression and without the revolutionary overcoming of imperialist governments and the establishment of socialism, there can be no real struggle for peace. Marxists-Leninists oppose proletarian internationalism to the pacifist illusions spread by the bourgeoisie and petty bourgeoisie.

At the moment, the inter-imperialist contradictions are intensifying, which gives rise to the danger of a Third World Imperialist War and requires the universal involvement of the world communist movement in the anti-imperialist revolutionary struggle. This also includes the support of justified armed liberation struggles.

The struggle against the imperialist war is a revolutionary war for the defeat of the imperialists and for the victory of the oppressed classes and peoples. In the struggle against war, as in the times of Lenin and Stalin, and according to the guiding principles of Mao Zedong, the revolutionary proletarian parties must advocate the defeat of their imperialist governments and the transformation of the imperialist war into a revolutionary war for socialism. All revolutionary proletarian parties and organizations must also show, not only in words, but in deeds, anti-imperialist solidarity with the peoples oppressed by imperialism, suffering from imperialist aggression and fighting for their freedom. We need to resolutely oppose the social chauvinism and social pacifism adopted by modern revisionism in its service to the imperialist governments. At the same time, today we are witnessing the disintegration of the old alliances of organizations of modern revisionists, the most anti-militarist and anti-imperialist forces among which we need to actively support and persuade to true left-wing and progressive positions, thereby splitting the united front of opportunists and defenders of imperialism. To transfer the largest possible number of political forces to the side of proletarian internationalism and a united anti-imperialist front is the most important strategic task of all ICOR organizations in their countries in conditions of the growing danger of war.

At present, there are two challenges in view of the areas of friction between the imperialist blocs.

The first section is the imperialist aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. The Russian Federation is leading a bloody war against the Ukrainian people and is trying to seize the territory of Ukraine. Mutual provocations between Russian imperialism and Western imperialists with their outpost Ukraine, creates a real danger of starting a full-scale Third World War between the aggressive NATO alliance and Russian imperialism headed by Putin, including the use of nuclear weapons. It is necessary to counter the struggle between the imperialists who are fomenting a world war with anti-imperialist and truly anti-fascist solidarity with the Ukrainian people.

The second area is Israel's imperialist aggression against Palestine in Gaza and the West Bank with a barbaric war of annihilation by Zionist Israel and settler-colonialist policies. Israel is massively funded and armed by Western imperialists led by US imperialism, but also by Germany. At the moment, the territory of Lebanon is already involved in this military conflict, as well as the territory of Yemen, against which the US and British imperialists are committing military aggression. Imperialist “support” and aggression must be countered by anti-imperialist solidarity with the just struggle of the Palestinian people.

In addition, imperialist rivalry is intensifying among the imperialist poles USA and China in the Pacific, in Southeast Asia and for influence in Africa, especially also towards Russia.

There is a need for a mass struggle against the world war of the imperialists and solidarity with the socialist and anti-imperialist struggle of the working class and the broad masses in the world. In all countries, ICOR member organizations must become as active as possible in the face of the threat of world war and mobilize efforts for the days of anti-war struggle on August 6 and September 1, 2024. It is necessary to involve the working class and the widest possible grass-roots classes of society in the anti-war struggle. The closest possible coordination between communists and workers of all countries is necessary. Either revolution will prevent war, or war will cause revolution - but we must make every effort to ensure that war is prevented by revolution.

Long live proletarian internationalism!

Long live anti-imperialist solidarity!

Let's strengthen the ranks of ICOR and attract new forces so that the socialist revolution prevents world war!
