The new offensive by the army of the Zionist-fascist Israel, which aims to conquer northern Gaza by fire and sword, exacerbates the situation of the Palestinian people in the midst of the genocide they have been suffering since October 2023, with more than 60,000 dead, mainly children, women, and the elderly.

In this new phase, which has already begun, the Zionist-fascist Netanyahu government seeks total control over Gaza through sinister plans of widespread starvation and displacement of the population. The Israeli army has intensified its double attacks, first bombing targets and then the rescue teams that come to help. This prevents the timely rescue of the wounded. And now it is attacking one of the few remaining hospitals, killing and injuring health workers, patients, and has systematically eliminated over 200 journalists as witnesses to its crimes to date.

Meanwhile, attacks and displacement of the Palestinian population in the West Bank are on the rise, and new plans are being developed to build settlements for Israeli settlers there.

Beyond statements, US imperialism led by Trump and much of the Western powers have encouraged this massacre and provided weapons and diplomatic support to the genocidal state. The criminal nature of the Zionist regime was further revealed by the missile attack on the building in Doha (Qatar), where senior Hamas negotiators were staying.

The internationalist solidarity of the working class and oppressed peoples of the world.

This solidarity is expressed in mass demonstrations in many countries around the world, which in many cases have even succeeded in getting their governments to recognize the genocide and politically condemn the Zionist aggressor, as well as in boycott actions such as those of the Greek dockworkers. Solidarity is expressed in actions such as the “Global Sumud Flotilla” which attempts to break the siege of Gaza. Solidarity is expressed in statements and mobilizations that, thanks to the perseverance of those who participate in them, are very commendable, but but must be expanded in scope and intensity.

Despite the enormous inequality of resources, the Palestinian people continue to fight heroically and by all means for their land, their self-determination, and their national and social liberation, and they deserve the greatest internationalist solidarity from the working class and the oppressed peoples of the world. Especially on the second anniversary of the start of the genocide in Gaza, we call for international action against war and genocide.
